Hello Everyone!

Today I am planning on covering the following material:

1] we are going to start with a “Two Minute Challenge” using the program Inspiration.

I will lead you through the activity but you must listen closely to instructions

2] I would like to take a look at scrapblog.com. I have created my presentation, “Spring”.

You will be creating your own presentation today, as well.

Don’t panic if you don’t get finished, this will be a work in progress.

For today’s class we are going to cover the following material:

1] use the new site: www.tinychat.com

2] use scrapblog.com ( I will show you my scrapblog, entitled: Spring)

3] finish up acrostics from last class.

This week is another busy one. We are nearing the end of our Poetry Unit. I hope that you enjoyed it. Make a list of the top two things that you liked the most about the unit. Also: list one thing that you wished you would have learned but did not> Write back - Mrs. K>

Today is the first official day of Fall. This is a short week, since there is no school on Friday, Sept 26/08.

*Autobiographies are due today, the lifemaps that I have seen are very creative, super work!!!

This week we have library and computer: We are all going to make a post on this blog in computer class, also we will be using our gmail accounts for a collaboration activity. More details to come.

I have updated our Classroom Wiki for this week. We will also be making an effort to visit our classroom blog this week, I will be making a post or two, and you must make an effort to post a comment. Remember that the teacher controls the blog, so if your comment is inappropriate, it will be deleted.

Cyberbullying will be discussed this week, I am asking that you submit your google mail account addresses, as well as the passwords to me. I will keep these safe, but this info will allow me to monitor your addresses, and make sure everyone is using their email accounts properly, which means no online bullying will be tolerated.

If you have not created a google mail account yet, don’t worry- you still have time. Please remember that when you are messaging your classmates that you do so with respect, cyberbullying will not be tolerated.

We will continue our Math Assessment on Fractions, and continue with ELA concepts on writing, you will be assigned your first ELA assignment this week, please refer to the classroom wiki for this lesson.
